Ian Briton – Original Music

Between 1990 and 1995 Ian worked as actor/musician with the legendary and controversial theatre group “La Fura dels Baus”, including several world tours for the shows Sus O Suz , Tier Mon and Noun, and performed and composed the music for Lʼhome del Mil·leni, attended by 100.000 spectators in Barcelona, and shown live on Televisión Española and TVC (Spain).

He has also composed the soundtrack for Agusti Vilaʼs feature film Un banco en el parque, produced by Fernando Colomo and Alta Films (awarded with the Best Original Soundtrack prize at Festival Cinespan, Toulouse 2000) and the inaugural ceremony music for “Forum Universal de las Culturas”.

In 2004 he wrote the soundtrack for the documentary Jean Leon 3055, directed by Agusti Vila and produced by Bausan Films (filmed mostly in USA and Thailand, selected for many festivals including Sitges).

Since 2000, he has composed music for films directed by Alvaro Breshner, all of which have won numerous awards around the world such as short films A Nine Mile Walk, Sofia and Segundo Aniversario, produced by Baobab Films, and the feature film Un mal día para pescar (selected in Cannes Film Festival in 2009). At present Ian is composing music for the fashion label Delpozo, and future shows with La Fura dels Baus. Ian just finished the music for Troya a fiction short film, directed by Isaac Pierre and starring Jordi Vilches.
